First Post: Introduction

Hello all those people randomly browsing cyber-space and those who have decided to check out the link listed at the bottom of my column. I would like to start this off by introducing myself and stating the reason for starting this blog.

I am Lizzy (insert random last name here) and I am currently a college student majoring in Environmental Studies (it's like Environmental Science, only with more policy classes).

I am a junior, which means I have two more years to go before embarking into the "real world", and am passionate about the environment, Shakespeare and cooking. My hopes with this blog I can spotlight some environmental concerns( and my personal pet peeves) as they are in the college setting, and perhaps offer some guidance on how you can live a greener life. Chances are that not only will you read about my opinions in text, but I will also provide cool links and such.

Part of the country: The western states. Basically anywhere with mountains.
Political Affiliation: Crunchy Conservative... confused? I'll explain in a later post

Favorite Flower: Wildflowers, pink roses, and jasmine
Favorite types of movies: Environmental disaster movies, Jurassic Park, Action... ok, alot :p
Music: It's broad... 80's to Italian techno to euro-pop/j-pop to classical to peruvian panpipes
